Antelope Island

Oct 1st We had the opportunity to have some friends from Switzerland, Marcel, Danny and their kids Julia 9 and Gerome 7 come and visit. We had a good time the day before and on this day we took them to Antelope island. This is Danny and Marcel on a little hike that we went on.
Grandma Lund and Jessa waiting for lunch. We went to Buffalo point and had Bison burgers!
Jessa and Kayci at Buffalo point
Kayci and Jessa wading in the Great Salt Lake!
You can't tell but Marcel, Danny and their kids went out in the water to experience floating in the salty water. They could not stop talking about how cool it was to just float so easily!! I think that they really enjoyed the day.
Gerome, Kayci, Jessa and Julia
Kynlee thinking she could just hike on the rocks like her big sisters!
Jessa, Kayci and Gerome checking out the view, they were like little mountain goats hiking on all of the rocks!!

Friends

Sept. 30th We had some friends Marcel and Danny and their two kids Julia and Gerome from Switzerland come visit for a few days. We took them up the canyon to Mueller park and then went to my brother Aaron and his wife Fiauna's house for some American football and a BBQ. We all had a great time and enjoyed watching the kids communicate and play together while not speaking the same language. Marcel and Danny speak English but Julia and Gerome could not.
This is a picture of Fiauna that Kynlee helped me take!
Kynlee playing with a baby float even though we were not playing in any water!
This is a picture of some of the neighbor kids, Jason, Aaron and Brighton being tackled.

We packed a picnic and enjoyed lunch up the canyon with all of the beautiful leaves changing colors. Gerome tried peanut butter for the first time!! Julia did not want to try it! It is so fun to be around people with different cultures, even a simple picnic is so different with strange foods for them. Julia, Kynlee, Jessa, Gerome and Kayci

Jessa and Kayci were teaching them some American hand games and sayings, then they tried to teach Jessa and Kayci some of theirs!

Cousin fun!

Sept. 29th This is Ethan, Kynlee and Emma. Ethan and Emma are Jason's sister Kari and her husband Andrew's twins. They are so cute, well behaved and fun to be around. Kynlee loves playing with them and it always makes me think how crazy life would be with triplets. They are two and a half months older than Kynlee and play so good together. We were watching them for a few hours and had some fun playing with toys and went on a bike ride to the park!! Just a little squishy in the bike trailer but nobody seemed to mind!!

Legacy bike ride

Sept. 28th We all went on a bike ride on the new Legacy bike trail, it was a lot of fun for all of us. This is Kynlee when we left and when we got home!!

Late summer/fall fun!

This is Kayci rollerblading and enjoying our nice long summer weather!

Jessa taking advantage of me saying you can have as many otter pops as you want!

Soccer, Soccer, Soccer!

So the month of September has been very busy with soccer (the reason my blog has been outdated for so long). Pretty much every night has someone playing soccer, very busy but super fun. It has been so fun watching the girls progress as they play and develop a love for the game. Jessa is playing on a U-9 team and Kayci a U-7. I have a lot of action shots of Kayci and not any of Jessa, I will work on that. Jessa's games have been so close and intense that I seem to only pull the camera out at half time. Jessa has moved up from rec play to a more competitive league within the Rush soccer program called Bantam. They are doing so good in this league that we hope to move them up again in the spring to district which will have them playing more comp teams in the Davis and Weber area. Jason and I are their coaches and love seeing them take everything we are teaching them to the field. The bunch ball is over and they are all playing positions, passing, talking and playing as a real team!! Kayci's team is still working on not bunching up so much but that will come with time and age, they are still so fun to watch and see her so happy when she is playing.
Half time for Jessa. Kynlee with Jason, her teammates Rachel and Emily, Jessa #4

Kynlee, a happy spectator.

Day at the Zoo with Daddy

Sept. 4th Jason spent the day at the zoo with Kynlee. They had a great time seeing all of the animals and just hanging out together.

One of Kynlee's favorite places to go is to the snakes!! Half of the time that is all she says she wants to see then when we get there she is too scared to even get close to the cages. She was not scared on this day and the snake was very active. So fun!!
Always a favorite spot for Kynlee!

Aug 22 We went with a lot of our friends to Hyrum Dam for one more summer fun weekend! We all had a lot of fun and enjoyed all of the company! This picture is of Jason with Kynlee, Jamie B. with Lauren and Karson.

Hitting a few bumps!
Have you ever seen the look of sheer terror? Well I think this is pretty close! Check out Jessa and Kayci's faces!
Done with the ride for the entire day!! I love Jamie's face and her hand saying "that's enough!!"

The girls decided that they enjoyed just riding in the boat and watching everyone hit the bumps much better!! Kynlee

Kayci, much happier on the boat! Jessa, just hanging out on the boat!
At least we ended the day with smiles and hopefully all of the fear will be forgotten! (hopefully???)

The Zoo

Aug 20 Kynlee and I went to the zoo with some friends, we had a ton of fun!! Jessa and Kayci always want to know what we do all day while they are gone! (shhhh!!)
